Things we did in class:

• We recovered how to do ilinks
• I created a page overview of the client website
• I analysed the questionaire that my client filled out.
• I did chapter 7 of the Dreamweaver book
• I updated this blog on blogger

And yeah, it might not seem like a lot of work, but that is about a full nights work... Ive just put it in a few very simple no detail like lists becasue i am not feeling well enough (or awake enough) to fill out.

client contact

Finally my client made contact with me. I was considering that I would need to ring her. Understandably she had been sick and unable to reply sooner...
She replied to my questionaire that i had sent her about two weeks ago. All her replies were pretty basic, but a great help compared to what i was working with a few days ago. The only few points that I will need to gain a better understanding on what she is wanting is:

1. Hosting (payments and whom it is with)
2. Domain name (previously suggested as ailsainness.com however as this is taken maybe ailsa_inness.com)
3. Is a database required....?????
4. Site maintanence (by me or ailsa or other)
5. The text and audio files (what pages she wants it on, etc.)
6. Budget...????

update

Tonight at TAFE we worked on creating pop-up menus in Fireworks. The first new thing that I have covered so far... It was really easy, and when we had to create our own from what we learnt I was done in about 5 minutes compared to everyone else which was about 10 - 30 minutes... cant remember how long they took, but it was long...
I regret to announce that I havent started my marketing research yet. I have the template for the marketing site up, but other than that it looks pretty blank. I have been working too hard on school stuff, so I might need to fill in on some weekends that im busy...
After that we worked on div's and table div's, which are completely new to me. It involves a little bit of CSS style scripting, so much fun... Basically, what we achieved was that when a button is clicked on the home page the new page that it would normally go to would end up appearing within a space in the orginal page....!!!!

assignments

Stressful!!!
Imagine going to school from 8 in the morning to about 3 in the afternoon, ending up with a total of 9 hours already up.
Then you bring home work... Get it? Home work...!
You hear all these workers complaining how they work from 9 to 3 and get like 1 or 2 hours of work that they have to bring home with them! I say: GET OVER IT!
School children, especially in their senior years, have to bring home any where from one to 4 hours of homework EACH NIGHT!!!!
Then you get the assessments, exams and assignments on top of that.
Like at the moment I have a major assignment for IT at school... It requires very complex detailing of contact with a client, how we got our ideas, a diary, a timeline, etc, etc, etc... Then the TAFE assessment... Geez, it all just builds up...
So much to do and so little time to do it all...

school work

All these great pictures were done at school in ITS class. I think they actually might have belonged to a Fireworks Tutorial, however we were not told where the resource pictures, words, etc came from so I cant say that much more. The very bottom picture is the one that we did in class, the rest were ones that I did - flying solo as they say - to prove I had picked up the skill. Easy peasy mate.

As a result of injury my leg I was in a way forced to stay home. Spending long hours at home doing nothing does get boring, though I doubt many teenagers would admit it.
Never the less I decided to do something useful with my suddenly free time. Having several php, apache, etc type books at home I scrounged around and found one of the books.
After probably half an hour reading and another half hour following each of the tutorial steps I was aghast to discover that I needed PHP installed upon MY computer to view the final product...
My only problem is that all the tutorials that I follow to install php ends up with total disastor. They all fail at the same point of changing some document, which at the current moment I cannot remember the name of, but all the same it is important.
So until i have figured out how to install php onto my computer i am unable to do any further out of my tutorial books that involve php, etc.

School

Because, as I have already mentioned, I do IT through school and I thought that I would add what I do in class as well in my blogs, as eventually they all add up to stuff I have done...
We were given an exercise to make an effective looking page for the school. Its a simple thing that I created, as i already had the text that needed to be added and only had to find images and place them inot one file...
And voila! This is the finished product!
