Yeah just an update... again....
My membership on newgrounds have worked really well, I am now a level 5 or 6 and because of this i can get free 80 word advertising space on their front page!!! Cool hey????
I'm still making my stick man flash movie... It's about 4 or 5 seconds long now and involves a little stick man crying, whipping away his tears three times, then changing his seating position... I plan to end up having him continue from that to a crawl, to a standing walk and then turning into an angel and flying off. But that is still taking a long time to do....
With my client's website i am taking a website template that I was creating for myself and using that.... Basically it is just a series of blue coloured sections/rectangles that have cool light and dark purple boarders. Its really simple in design but the borders make it look slightly more attractive... However I may need to change the colour scheme for the client, but this is not hard to do....
I also encountered a problem trying to work on many of my flash files at home. Because at home we are still running on Flash MX rather than Flash 8, the files will not work. So I have needed to save some of the files at TAFE as a older version of MX so that I can work on them at home....
At TAFE we have been working on Chapter 5 of the book. This has involved a refresh of shape tweening, using shape hinting, creating a mask, inserting a video into fireworks and getting it to play correctly (which is kinda flash... lol.... as you can edit your movie and crop it etc before adding it into the file), etc....
Yeah, this is all i will add to this entry... Basically you get the general idea of what we have done... oh the only real other thing i have learnt that isnt involved with TAFE is that if you are making a flash button and want to insert a subject line then you make the mail to like this: (note my email address has been used, it can be subsituted for your own)
mailto:neelhtak_backwards@hotmail.com?subject=Stick-man
(note 2: TeStick-man is just an example subject line, this can also be substitued...)
Thats all for now... lol
