Review: Mobile Speed Test

So we have all heard about broadband speed tests, but how many people have heard about mobile speed tests?
Well I found this links that tests the speed of your mobile internet (3g I think) - keep in mind that you have to log on using your mobile internet explorer software:

www.mobilespeedtest.com -

I scored 4096.00 Mbps. That is faster than my ADSL Modem. Actually, according to their website my 1500kbps is nothing compared to my 4194304 kbps download speeds for my phone.

http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed?jisok=1 - I like this website as it shows many different areas. It can show what the top results were for anyone doing the test, what your IP and software is, results for other people, as well as providing you with the speed test. When I first did the text (100kb) it came up saying that the results were too fast to be recorded, and it took me to a page where I could download a larger file for testing.

My results were 295kbps at 0.444 latency and 28.152s d/l time.

Noticing the extremely different results, I ran the test both with wi-fi turned on and off. Below are my results:

- Wi-fi On -
www.mobilespeedtest.com -4096.00 Mbps
http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed?jisok=1 - 295kbps at 0.444s latency and 28.152s d/l time
- Wi-Fi Off -
www.mobilespeedtest.com -2730.67 Mbps
http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed?jisok=1 - 244kbps at 0.454s latency and 33.984s d/l time

Reviewing these results, I am going to say that surely the dslreports.com website is more accurate.

If you do the test, please tell me what sort of results you get. Try both with and without the internet (wi-fi).
